Hollie is going to be in a TV advert that will be screened on ITV in the Granada region. Wow! That should give her debut album some much needed publicity and everyone will start to sit up and take notice of our little star. I’m hopeful that I will be able to obtain a copy of the advert to put it on the website so that everyone can see it.

Hollie is also going to be doing an interview on Smooth Radio, a radio station based in London. However, Smooth Radio can be listened to online so hopefully we will all get the chance to hear the interview.

Hollie also shared some photos with us. The first (on the left) is one of the one’s taken during the photo session for Hollie’s album. Hollie said that she couldn’t stop laughing because rose petals were being thrown over her.

The second one is of Hollie the “rock chick”. Doesn’t she look funky with an electric guitar? However, Hollie did confide that she couldn’t really play the electric guitar, she was just pretending.

Hollie has remarked before that the song Nessun Dorma really suits her voice so the audience must have had a real treat. Of course, Nessun Dorma is one of the tracks available on Hollie’s debut album, Hollie, which can now be pre-ordered from the store.

During last Sunday’s chat session, Nina informed us that she was working on a range of classy and beautiful Hollie themed merchandise.  Hollie, on the other hand, has been busily signing lots of photos for her album, as a complimentary A4 size signed photo of Hollie is being sent out with all pre-ordered albums.

Hollie’s mini tour is being planned at the moment. Hollie will sing 8 songs on the tour and be supported by her brother Josh and other acts. Hollie will also dance. Tour dates and box office numbers will be posted on this site once the details are finalised.

Progress on Hollie’s debut album is continuing, with 11 tracks now completed and two waiting to be mastered. One of the tracks is “Music of the Night” from the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical The Phantom of the Opera, which Hollie and Josh sing as a duet.

Hollie and Josh will also be performing in their school’s production of “The Sound of Music” in March, where Hollie will play Brigitta and Josh will play Captain Von Trapp.

And finally… Hollie really enjoyed her half term week in London, and let slip that her favourite film is “Alvin and the Chipmunks – The Squeakquel”.

Nina says they always “like to give something back”.  Hollie will be singing just one song – Nessun Dorma.

The first single to be released from the album is “Edelweiss”, which is due to be released on March 29th. The single will also appear on Hollie’s album, which will be called simply “Hollie”. The album and single are being released under Jason and Nina Steel’s BB5 Records label.

The single and album are being distributed by Universal and will be available both in the shops and digitally online.

Nina is also interested in your suggestions of venues for Hollie’s mini tour, and would like to post your ideas on Hollie’s Facebook page. Ideally, she would like a nice theatre that can seat around 500, in the UK.

I have created a new “Hollie Art” page within the Gallery part of the site if there is anyone else who would like to submit their artwork. I can’t guarantee to upload every picture, but I will put the best ones on the site for everybody to see.

The purpose of the album launch is to create considerable interest in the album from major record labels and national media. Additionally the event will ensure Hollie is taken seriously by professionals. National press and major record labels and some celebrities will receive VIP invitations to the event, other guests will include the production team, investors, close family and friends and selected fans.

The launch will take place at the Roundhouse Studio Theatre, London, on Wednesday the 19th May. A total of 100 guests will watch Hollie perform songs from the album.

The performance will be proceeded by canopies and a meet and greet from Hollie and her family. The album will be unveiled, with photo opportunities for national press.

The venue has been selected for its location within London , its professional appearance and the facilities available.

VIP Invitations

The invitations will be to the highest standard, the package will include a full portfolio of photographs, and biography. Invitations to the major labels AR departments will include a copy of the album.
